Can I Use Journal for a Personal Brand (Without a Logo)?

Absolutely! While Journal was designed to help bookkeepers and accountants show up professionally with a brand, it works just as beautifully for those building a personal brand too — even if you don’t have (or want) a traditional logo.

Here’s what to do if you’d prefer to not include a logo in your Journal posts.

"I don’t have a logo — can I still use Journal?"

Yes, and it can still look amazing. If you’re growing your personal brand and you are the face of your business, you might not want a logo getting in the way of your content. We get that.

Here are your options:

Option 1: Don't add a logo at all

Or you could add an image file showing simply your social media handle.

Option 2: Use Your Name as Your Brand

Many personal brands thrive by simply using your name in a professional font. You can create a simple Canva design with your name, choose a font that matches your vibe, and upload it as your logo — giving you a branded feel without needing a full logo suite.

Option 3: Let the Content Speak

If you want your content to do all the talking, that’s fine too. You can design Journal slides without any branding elements at all, you can upload purely text posts or text with photos by using the "upload" option to add your own image to a Caption/Image post.

You’re Still Building a Brand

Even if you don’t have a logo, you’re still showing up consistently, using colour, layout, and messaging. That’s branding. And Journal can support you every step of the way — whether you're logo-less or rocking a full visual identity.
